20th Anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster 2009

15th April 2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster. Twenty long years have passed since the avoidable and totally unnecessary death of 96 Liverpool fans – and still no justice.

Currently media interest is great and the HJC has tried to co-operate with as many requests for interviews as it could in order to try and educate as many people as possible. A consequence of prioritising responding to queries, interviews etc is that we have been unable to update this website( we are all unpaid volunteers giving time and skills when we can). This is extremely frustrating for us as we had wanted to update for the anniversary.

However, although media interest comes and goes, nevertheless the facts of Hillsborough remain the same – and those facts are here in abundance for all to read.*

On the twentieth anniversary of the deaths of 96 people, and as a mark of respect for the many survivors of the disaster, please take time out to read and digest the true facts surrounding Hillsborough.

The HJC thanks you for your continued support which enables us to be a voice for those fighting for justice.

The website will be updated in due course.

*Hillsborough is NOT rubber stamped into the history books. This website outlines, not only the campaign for Justice for the 96 people who died at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough football ground on 15th April 1989, historically since 1989 til the present day but also features the definitive history of what happened at Hillsborough that day.
