Through the Wind and the Rain Fanzine Archives

It seemed unthinkable, but the Kop may soon be full of those cheap, red plastic efforts we've seen in other parts of the ground. No, not inflatable flamingos, seats. I was never that sentimental about the Kop, us Anny Roaders used to have a name for the people who stand there. It rhymed, and it wasn't very pleasant. However, the pictures of it after Hillsborough brought a lump to the throat, if it wasn't already there, and I'd prefer to leave it as it is. Converting the Anfield Road End to seats finished off the singing there, and it seems to be a football rule that people in seats don't sing, except away from home, where they often drown out the terracing. Anfield with no singing, even the minimum we get nowadays, is unthinkable. The club must know we don't just go for the football; we'd stay at home with the rest of the bums otherwise. Maybe I'm being selfish. Kopites - write to TTWAR and tell me what YOU want.
